Dr. Fullerton is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the School of Business, Economics and Technology. She teaches Graduate Managerial Economics for the Louisville Education Center and has also taught Undergraduate Microeconomics and Undergraduate Macroeconomics. She became a full-time faculty member in 2020 prior to teaching as an Adjunct for many years.

Dr. Fullerton holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University with a minor in Management. Dr. Fullerton successfully defended her dissertation entitled, “A Simulation Analysis of Cotton Gin Financial Viability Under Risk” in December of 2009.

Prior to receiving her Ph.D., she worked in the commercial banking industry for 8 years supporting a diverse set of customers from a large supermarket chain, a significant hospital entity, and an oil company headquartered in Australia with a refinery off the coast of Papua, New Guinea. While with the bank, she was the recipient of many sales awards earning multiple all expense paid trips to hot spots like Las Vegas, Nevada and Orlando, FL. She also worked in the bank’s accounting area compiling and publishing required governmental reports.

Her research interests include: Macroeconomics focused on Inflation, Interest Rates, and the Banking Industry, as well as Leadership and Family Owned Enterprises
