Dr. Blackman-Lees is an active researcher with more than 25 years of Information Science experience within the healthcare industry. Began her career in academia over 20 years ago. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Blackman-Lees worked in the healthcare industry for a major hospital corporation in various positions of information technology and data architecture. Her career began as an application developer and continued through software development using various programming languages, hardware platforms, and operating systems. She also worked extensively as a data and solutions architect.

Education:

  • BA in Business Management – Andrews University,
  • MS in Computer Information Systems – Long Island University
  • Ph.D. in Information Systems – Nova Southeastern University.

Research Interests: Knowledge management, Business Intelligence and Data analytics, Semantic interoperability, and  Information Systems.
