Tonya Watts came to CU as an adjunct faculty in August 2021 and full-time in January 2022 as a PN instructor. Mrs. Watts obtained her ADN degree from Kentucky State University in 2008, a BSN in 2014, and currently attending Northeastern State University to obtain an MSN with an education focus. I have spent the last 22 years at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in various positions. ICU, Endoscopy, and obstetrics for the last 9 years. I have also held a director of nursing position for obstetrics/ mother-baby for 7 years.
My passion for teaching started when I started PN clinicals started in 2014 and continued until 2020 at various schools of nursing.
I have a wonderful husband, 2 daughters, and a grandson. I love spending time at church, boating, and camping.
