Campbellsville University Hires Liu as Political Science Professor

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- Campbellsville University has employed Xinmin Liu, of Memphis, Tenn., as assistant professor of political science, according to Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.

Liu earned his bachelor of arts degree at Lanzhou University in China, his master of arts degree from the China Academy of Social Sciences, and his Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans. He has also received a certificate in statistics from the University of Michigan.

Among the various awards presented to Liu is the Fellowship Award from UC San Diego in 1992-1993 for International Studies in Asia. He also receive in 2003, the Pi Sigma Alpha award from Southwestern Social Science Association.

During his educational career, Liu has been a member of the American Political Science Association since 2000, as well as the International Studies Association.

Xinmin Liu has been an instructor at the University of Memphis as well as the University of New Orleans and hopes to “contribute to the political science program in many respects.”

Campbellsville University, now celebrating her Centennial year, is a private, comprehensive institution located in South Central Kentucky.
