CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jennifer Tinnell, director of marching band and instructor of music, will perform at chapel/convocation Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. in the Powell Athletic Center on campus.
Chapel/convocation is free and open to the public.
Selections to be performed include “Dance to the Music,” by Sylvester Stewart, “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” arranged by Roger Holmes, “Strike Up the Band” and “Fascinating Rhythm,” both written by Ira and George Gershwin and arranged by Sammy Nestico, and Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton’s “Flying Home,” arranged by Dave Bardhun.

The University Jazz Ensemble will also participate in their annual fall recruitment tour Nov. 13-16, performing for high schools across the state. They will complete their tour with a home concert Thursday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. at Campbellsville Baptist Church. The concert is free and open to the public.
