Medical Assistant Job Duties will vary by location but generally includes confirming patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary; injections; ECG’s; phlebotomy procedures.

Cost: $2,400.00.

Cost includes: tuition, malpractice insurance, textbook, background check, drug screen, medical assistant supply kit and NCCT exam.

Tuition may be made in monthly installments of $400.00 each payment. Non- Refundable deposit of $400.00 is due at registration and will be considered your first months payment. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be 18 years of age, no felony charges and must be able to pass a drug screen test.

  • Clinical will be later in course and will be 8 hour days.
  • Only 10 students will be accepted per class

The pharmacy technician fills prescriptions and prepares them to be sold to the patient. The pharmacy technician’s job description also includes many other duties such as administrative and bookkeeping tasks, inventory control, stocking shelves, and data entry. Pharmacy technicians are detail oriented.

Orientation at 10 a.m.

Cost: $1,999.00

Cost includes: tuition, software or textbook, current drug handbook and PTCB certification exam. (Students cannot have any felony charges or misdemeanor drug charges against them).

A $300.00 non refundable deposit required

This is a computer – based program. Students may use a home computer, however, all exams must be monitored by a proctor at one of our facilities.

More commonly known as phlebotomists, certified phlebotomy technicians work with patients in hospitals, blood banks and other medical set-ups. They are responsible for drawing blood for a variety of reasons, including lab testing and blood donation. Upcoming Courses: Phlebotomy Technician

Cost: $1,999.00 Includes tuition, textbook, malpractice insurance, drug screen, background check and NCCT exam.

  • Class for 6 weeks, then 100 hours of clinical in a healthcare settings within 6 weeks.
  • Only 10 students will be accepted in the course.
  • $250.00 (non-refundable deposit required to reserve a spot in the course, $ 750.00 due before clinical and a balance of $999.00 due before final exam.
  • TB skin test ( at students own cost) and proof if immunizations required prior to clinical.
  • Students must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass drug screen & background check

Certified Professional Coder – Medical Billing and Coding

The medical and coding field is one of the fastest growing job markets today and in the future. Students will study the structure, format and definitions associated with all three systems and learn to apply and assign the correct ICO-10 and CPT codes in accordance with the conventions and ICO-10 coding guidelines. Successful completion allows students to sit for the CPC exam through the AAPC.

MBC has a face-to-face orientation and then is online. Meetings are available for those needing face-to-face help.

  • Aug. 29, 2017 – 10 a.m. orientation, then online
  • Jan. 16, 2018 – 4 p.m. orientation, then online
  • March 21, 2018 – 5 p.m. orientation, then online

Cost:

$4,400 (tuition, book, exam fee)
$1,000 (boot camp is for those individuals who have previous experience or education in ICO-10 and CPT coding)
$400 non-refundable deposit
