Purdue University is looking for the right candidate for the role of Accommodated Testing Coordinator within the Disability Resource Center (DRC). As the Accommodated Testing Coordinator you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Accommodated Testing Service operated by the DRC. There will be a need for Daily coordination and facilitation of paper and computer-based exams and quizzes assuring individual student accommodations are provided. You will need to Interact with DRC staff, instructors/faculty, and students by phone, in-person and via e-mail. Must be capable of troubleshooting technical problems with PC’s, office equipment etc. Highly organized, patient with others, and strives to de-escalate situations. This role will also supervise a large student worker population and becomes involved in decision-making related to student cheating incidents, including filing reports. Will share providing staff coverage in an environment that is open from 7:00 am-10:30 pm.

Required:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 2 year of disability accommodation, teaching, or related field experience
  • Understanding of accommodations in higher education
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to be flexible in work assignments, work independently and multi-task while staying organized
  • Skilled in record keeping using electronic based tools
  • Comfortable working with diverse student populations
  • Curious about how the environment intersects with individuals and presents barriers to access
  • Ability to interpret and apply FERPA

Preferred: 

  • Prior higher education experience
