Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, KY is hiring for a Full-time Athletic Trainer.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.
- License: KY ATC
Specific Responsibilities:
- The Athletic Trainer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Athletic Training, and traveling and covering athletic events.
- Athletic insurance bidding and administration, maintaining of medical records for injured athletes, overseeing the drug-testing program, and overseeing the annual medical clearance of athletes.
- The athletic trainer shall prepare an annual budget for the department. Budgets must be submitted to the athletic director for approval. Purchases can only be made after the athletic director has approved a purchase order form.
- The athletic trainer will set a positive example and be a role model for student-athletes.
- The athletic trainer will practice by preventing, recognizing, assessing, managing, treating and reconditioning of athletic injuries.
- The athletic trainer will record findings of all evaluated athletic injuries.
- Recommendations will be made based on findings to the corresponding coaches, athletic director, and/or parent for further care or referral.
- The athletic trainer will consult with coaches, for education, organization and implementation of care and conditioning of the school’s athletes.
- The athletic trainer consults with the coaches and Athletic Director on the safety of the athletic facilities.
- Other responsibilities include education and counseling through the public on matters related to athletic training and/or wellness. School coverage will be provided contractually for a specified number of days/hours per week, including game and practice coverage.
- Perform duties as requested by supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Working hours necessary to perform job requirements satisfactorily on a regular basis.
- Complying with Taylor County Board of Education policies and practices and seeking clarification of them when necessary.
- Honor the mission of Taylor County Board of Education and abide by rules and regulations and Standards of Conduct outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
