Co-Op/Intern -Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA) -Office of Investments:

  • The KPPA Office of Investments staff utilizes investment exposure to world-class investment managers, liquidity providers, banks, consultants and investment specific value-add vendors. Our independent research and investment process allows for deep and broad investment analysis of global public and private investments in categories such as cash management, debt, real assets, equities, commodities, and derivatives of each. KPPA Investments offers a collaborative environment that combines learning with real world experience of accomplishing tasks and involvement in discussions that directly benefit the portfolio, and ultimately the beneficiaries of the plan.

 

  • KPPA is searching for a Co-op/Intern to provide assistance to the Executive Director, Office of Investments, with due diligence, investment research and analysis, investment return data gathering, risk factor report building along with other duties as assigned.

 

  • The candidate must be able to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced and deadline driven environment. The candidate must have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and evaluative skills, interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and good research skills.

 

  • The program serves as a way for Kentucky students to obtain practical on-the-job experience and academic credit as part of their education. Co-op/Interns are employees in the unclassified service (without merit status). In order for a student to participate in the Co-op/Intern Program, the Personnel Cabinet requires that the student receive academic credit for their participation.

 

  • The Academic Credit Agreement form must be signed by a counselor, advisor or cooperative education coordinator at their respective educational institution. Only selected candidates prior to the start date must also submit the Academic Credit Agreement form https://personnel.ky.gov/DHRA/AcademicCreditAgreementForm.pdfand unofficial transcript which will be completed after the interview and selection process.

 

  • The agency may authorize the selected applicant to telecommute. The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time.

 

 

 

 

Co-Op/Intern -Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA)- Internal Audit Administration

  • The KPPA Division of Internal Audit Administration works to ensure KPPA’s operations run effectively and efficiently while also ensuring transparency of operations. In addition, we work with various staff across KPPA to assess the biggest risks to the organization.

 

  • KPPA is searching for a Co-op/Intern to provide assistance to the Division Director, Internal Audit Administration, in performing audits of the various KPPA divisions along with other duties as assigned.

 

  • The candidate will perform beginning professional level audit work by analyzing financial and statistical records, reports and statements, and policies and procedures. The candidate must have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and evaluative skills, interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Accounting.
