Communications Officer (FT), Markey Cancer Center, Lexington KY

The Markey Cancer Center affiliated with the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is hiring to fill a Full Time Communications Officer position.

The Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network (MCCAN) includes 20 affiliate sites across the Commonwealth with further expansion expected.

The Multimedia Communications Coordinator will support the MCCAN’s mission of providing high-quality cancer care education, training, and resources through collaboration with MCCAN staff, MCC, MCCAN sites, and other key partners and stakeholders.

A key focus of this position will be the production and management of digital video, audio, virtual, and other media content to support the strategic training and education needs of MCCAN.

The position will help ensure that MCCAN sites have access to professional education and resources (including recordings, reports, research, etc.) to satisfy Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: MS Office, Access DB, MS Teams, Planner, SharePoint, WordPress, Adobe Premier, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Media Encoder, Office 365, Zoom, Solstice.

Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor’s plus five or more years related experience preferred.
