Family Advocate Specialist, Taylor County School District – Campbellsville, KY

Job Summary:  The Family Advocate will work to achieve positive child and family outcomes through high-quality engagement. This individual will provide child-focused mediation between all stakeholders in the best interest of the child.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of higher education OR 2 years of experience in social work or a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify students in need of additional support while collaborating with families and staff to meet needs
  • Refer students and families to appropriate community and/or school resources, as needed
  • Participate in campus-based outreach activities
  • Establish and maintain confidential records of interaction with students/families
  • Assist with new student on-boarding process
  • Facilitate and Monitor the agreement reached that will be in the best interest of the child.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of services to families.
