Head Athletic Trainer, Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia KY
Lindsey Wilson College, a private college in Columbia, Kentucky, is seeking a Head Athletic Trainer to oversee the College’s Sports Medicine department. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment with start-date to be determined. The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for all phases of leadership and administration and the daily operation of the sports medicine concerns of the Lindsey Wilson College student athletes. The Head Athletic Trainer is also responsible for managing the daily activities of the athletic training facility, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries, as well as practice and game coverage. Some travel is required with this position, as are nights and weekends. Lindsey Wilson College is a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA. The college sponsors 36 varsity/junior varsity sports programs consisting of 750+ student-athletes.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and committed to the total development of the student-athlete as an integral part of a diverse campus community. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability and desire to work with high level athletes in a small school environment. The candidate will lead a team consisting of Assistant ATs and work closely with the Director of Health Services. This person must have an expert level understanding of all the facets of intercollegiate athletic training.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of advanced leadership in a sports medicine clinical environment
- Education: Master’s degree (Minimum)
- Certification/License: BOC Certified
- Kentucky Licensure or eligible
- Certified in American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- First Aid, CPR and AED (Instructor Certification preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
- NPI Number required
