SUMMARY
Cut down and top various size trees with hand-held power chainsaws or hand tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Including the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):
- Operation of chainsaw for daily use.
- Assess trees for hazards, terrain and optimal recovery.
- Delimbs and cuts trees into pre-specified log lengths..
- Safety conscious and inspect all equipment before using.
- Aware of their surroundings at all times to preserve the integrity of the land..

Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Use of Proper PPE utilized at all times.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Must be physically fit and required to walk on difficult terrain for long periods of time. Required to lift and/or move heavy objects between 40-50 pounds during normal duties of the position. Ability to work 40 plus hours per week.
