Position: Media Director

Job Description:
The Russell Springs United Methodist Church is seeking an applicant to fill the position of Media Director. The candidate’s role is to support internal worship experiences, ministry events, volunteer staff management as well as maintaining in-house audiovisual equipment. This includes operating, maintaining, distributing, installing, configuring, repairing and upgrading electronic equipment while ensuring their optimal performance. The Media Director serves under the direction of the Worship Pastor in order to coordinate the Sunday morning production teams, with a specific focus on ensuring quality sound mix for all services.
A partial list of responsibilities include:
- Oversee technical needs for all Sunday morning worship services plus special events as required
- Coordinate with worship leaders (pastors, music directors) to identify weekly technical needs within worship
- Oversee volunteer staff in all areas of technology (audio, video, lighting, social media, photography, website, etc.)
- Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of A/V equipment throughout the church, including scheduling repair and/or replacement of faulty equipment as needed
- Maintain and regularly post to church website and social media accounts
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a staff member in a Worship & Arts ministry or other related production support capacity is a plus
- Strong committed follower of Jesus Christ who embraces the membership vow of Russell Springs United Methodist Church
- Experience with setup and operation of analog and digital consoles, HD video paths and Switching
- Strong knowledge of ProPresenter, Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications; be proficient In both Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS systems
