WHAS11, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a creative, engaging, full-time Multimedia Journalist for its popular daytime program, “Great Day Live.” The ideal candidate will create sales and lifestyle content for multiple platforms showcasing local businesses and the community. This is a Monday through Friday position working full-time. The candidate will be able to execute a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and work well with advertisers. The candidate is a great storyteller who will excel on digital and social media platforms. We want an MMJ who can create unique and shareable stories for all platforms through memorable writing, photography and editing
Requirements:
- Journalist and/or Mass Communication degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a broadcast reporter or on-air personality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure
- A personal style that promotes effective communication and professional relationship-building
- Excellent use of social media for news gathering/disseminating and community engagement
- Ability to generate creative, engaging, metrics-informed content
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong organization and time management
