Position Description:

There are 11 Stipend positions. Living Expenses are covered plus a small monthly stipend,
i.e. room, utilities, food, training, special activities, and a small living stipend are typically covered through the job/volunteer placement arrangements.
These non-profit job placements last for 1 year while they go through leadership training.
The leadership training is a post-college fellows program. It is a select leadership program. We invest over 300 hours in training including leadership skills, professional skills, character formation, spiritual formation and strategic thinking.

 

Position placements are through collaborative relationships with the Baton Exchange Leader Incubator program.You must be accepted into the Leader Incubator program to be placed in position. The Leader Incubator is a 12-month working-learning-leading-serving post-college experience in Columbus, Ohio.

  • We equip you to start your career strong and launch well as future Christian leaders of redemptive influence in the global workplace!
  • Build your job skills while paying forward serving at nonprofit placements working 35 hours/week with ½-day/week of training
  • Be mentored monthly by a Christian in your occupation
  • Explore your faith, vocation and calling connection
  • Receive professional and leadership development and coaching
  • Get practical equipping and coaching to integrate your faith and work for redemptive impact
  • Enjoy networking with local and national leaders
  • Build your self-awareness and EQ
  • Living expenses covered and a modest stipend provided
  • Live in intentional community with other like-minded young adults from around the world
  • Shadow non-profit board members to see how leaders interact
  • Receive help with job placement upon completing the Incubator.
  • Leader Incubator goes from June-May.

DESCRIPTIONS

  • Education programs coordinator Develop and coordinate youth education projects and programming for after school programs for inner city youth. Elementary education, youth ministry or social work majors a good fit.

 

  • Animation/Digital Media Designer Conceptualize and develop animated characters for existing online video curriculum geared toward millennials. Integrate with the video curriculum. Coordinate all things related to the video project.

 

  • Communications and marketing coordinator. Manage all social media and communications updates, announcements, promotion, event coordination support, website updates, etc… Help grow awareness of organization. Provide input into the development of the strategic marketing and communications plan.

 

  • Strategic Business Performance Liaison/Consultant Help a network of individual social enterprises develop business process and performance metrics. Must be naturally inquisitive and comfortable meeting with leaders. Self-motivated a must. Strategic Business, MBA, LaDw/Pre-Law, Supply Chain Mgt or Operations Mgt majors a good fit.

 

  • Development Researcher Office administration and online research looking for prospective foundations and donors for grants. Also will do online research for a financial services firm that helps people take a biblical approach to saving money. Business Admin, Finance, Accounting or Nonprofit majors a good fit.

 

  • Logistics/Supply Chain coordinator Help a large international nonprofit design, set up and manage its small warehouse distribution system that utilizes volunteers and sends out packages globally. Logistics or Supply Chain Mgt majors a good fit.

 

  • Strategic Business Planning Coordinator Serve as a researcher and consultant, helping various nonprofits develop business plans: a huge need among small nonprofits. One placement is at a $250million government services entity that is privatizing to a nonprofit and needs help developing business infrastructure in preparation for the privatization. Want to possibly groom fellow into leadership position following completion of Leader Incubator. Both positions great fit for MBAs, Strategic Business, Public Administration majors.

 

  • Public Administration/Organizational Development Specialist a $250million government services entity that is privatizing to a nonprofit needs help developing business infrastructure in preparation for the privatization. Want to possibly groom fellow into leadership position following completion of Leader Incubator. A great fit for MBAs, Strategic Business, Nonprofit management, HR Mgt or Public Administration majors.

 

  • Human Resources Specialist Help design, develop and administer HR policy, practices and procedures. A great way to develop a broad range of HR skills.

 

  • Construction Management Project manager and estimator positions at a highly reputable social enterprise that helps the formerly incarcerated develop job skills through construction projects.

 

  • T. Specialist Oversee and support implementation, monitoring, administration or maintenance of IT systems, networks and databases. May also need to help with website updates.
