Description:

East Hartford Baptist Church is Seeking a Part-time, bi-vocational youth minister (this position has the possibility of becoming full-time) to provide the opportunities and education necessary for those in this congregation under the age of 18 to develop into spiritually mature, fully committed Christ followers.

We practice a Team Ministry concept, therefore, administrative and management skills are a must; and experience in working on and with ministry teams desired. The successful candidate will be tasked with administrating and managing a ministry not simply providing oversight and spiritual care to the youth of the church (this is but a portion of the job).

We are theologically and biblically conservative; a socially and economically diverse congregation; casual dress, contemporary worship service, with a wide spiritual maturity range. EHBC is a growing church reaching a young, unchurched demographic. The successful candidate will oversee a youth group of 40-50+ middle/high school students and a youth ministry team of 8-10 volunteers.

East Hartford Baptist Church is located in Hartford, Kentucky (approximately 20-25 miles south of Owensboro, KY and 45-50 miles north of Bowling Green, KY) in Ohio County Kentucky. Please visit us at www.ehbc.us or on Facebook at East Hartford Baptist Church.

Qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, education, or other related fields (or working toward such a degree); at least two years of relevant experience preferred; strong work ethic; self-motivated; proven ability to recruit and retain volunteers; and adeptness in Microsoft Office. Job requirements include but are not limited to: working with grades 7-12; preparing Sunday morning and Wednesday night programming; coordinating and recruiting volunteers; working with special events, including VBS; and other general pastoral care needs.

Send a cover letter and resume to Dr. Andy Gowins, Pastor, at youthminister@ehbc.us. References will be requested of final candidates. Resumes will be accepted through August 31, 2019. Compensation is negotiable and dependent upon experience, education, and need.
