Job description:
Duties:
– Primary duties will be focused in the area of payroll
o Utilize Quickbooks accounting software
o Work with clients in various industries
o Process payroll
o Process tax deposits electronically
o Prepare monthly payroll tax returns
o Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual sales tax returns
o Assist with quarterly and annual payroll tax returns as needed
– Other duties as assigned by the firm’s CPAs
Requirements:
– Prior experience with payroll
– Working knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word)
– Working knowledge of basic payroll functions and procedures
– Prior exposure to the public accounting profession preferred
– Willingness to learn
– Ability to follow instructions and seek guidance when necessary
– Ability to manage workflow and to meet deadlines in an efficient manner
– Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
