 Job Description: The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Spring View Hospital standards of performance, policies and procedures.  Each employee is responsible for upholding the Spring View Hospital Values, namely: respect for every individual, delivery of quality service, constant pursuit of excellence and commitment to integrity.  In addition, each employee is responsible to abide by and uphold the Spring View Hospital Standards of Performance.

Job Requirements:  He or she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of anatomy.  The technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill and understanding of image quality.  Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the tests and relieve their anxiety.  Must demonstrate an understanding of Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control and Quality Control techniques.  Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates and other members of the department staff.  Employee assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards.  The ARRT must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies, as needed.  Must vary work schedule.  The patient population of Spring View Hospital ranges from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.  The ARRT Radiographer Technologist must provide services to all patients, families, and physicians serving this population.

 

Job Qualifications: The Radiographer must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and hold a General Certificate with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Radiation Operators Program.  Employee must be a high school graduate or GED and a graduate of an JRC/CAHEA approved program in Radiologic Technology and have at least one-year recent experience in General Radiography. CPR required.  One-year recent experience in General Radiography.
