Reporting to the Social Media Analyst, the Social Media intern will balance multiple responsibilities – with priority of supporting the social media efforts of our more than 200 properties. This role will carry responsibility of contributing to a continual improvement our social presence as well as helping to launch new social platforms across the portfolio.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Monthly reporting for all social media outlets.
Immediate day to day monitoring and ownerships of the following social channels (portfolio wide): Google+ Local, Yelp, Foursquare, Trip Advisor
Management of local search efforts including collaborating with our website team on crossover and working with Express Update & Google Places tools
Assisting with digital promotion ideation, execution & monitoring of all ongoing digital promotions and campaigns
Creating training manuals and best practices and presenting these regularly to the field
Assisting with launching new social platforms
Other duties as assigned, including for fashion blog content approval and editing (stylesetter.simon.com)
Junior or Senior in College, with experience in social media or digital marketing
Must be an organized self-starter who can self-prioritize
Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced start-up environment
Juggle multiple projects and be happy and willing to pitch-in when needed to get the job done for the team
Possess strong business communication skills
Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies is a must
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) as well as social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Yelp, etc.)
