LEAD JAVA APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

*Position will be working on the Crew Program with the focus on the Flight Payroll Control (FPC) implementation. This position will work closely with the Crew Scheduling Replacement effort with the Product and Integration teams. This position requires Java, OpenShift and Oracle expertise for developing and mentoring others in our department.

*Requires technical and soft skills for meeting responsibility for integrating vendor(s) and UPS built products with Crew legacy applications. The ability to work in a team environment and bring their software development experience will allow the guidance and input in the team’s day-to-day, peer reviews, and code perspective.

*Provides leadership in full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery is on time and within budget.  He/She directs component and data architecture design, technology planning and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance.

INTERMEDIATE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

*Will work on the Crew Integration Team to implement a new crew scheduling system.  This is highly visible project and key to Airline transformation. The candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, design, development, etc…of the integration points between mission-critical crew applications and vendor application.  S/he will analyze requirements and validate appropriate solutions that have been designed. S/he will provide knowledge, support and collaboration with the application team on the applications development and integration activities.

*The successful candidate will have solid problem solving, communication and planning skills; solid crew domain business knowledge will be beneficial. This position requires technical and soft skills for integrating vendor(s) and UPS-built projects on Crew legacy applications.  The ability to work in a team environment and bring software development experience will allow guidance and input in the team’s day-to-day, peer review and code perspective.

SENIOR JAVA SPRINGBOOT APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER (multiple positions)

*The Sr. Applications Developer/DevOps Engineer provides input and support for, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.).  He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements.

*The Sr. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for configuring and overseeing the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools for the Crew Program.  Tools may include: Jenkins, Groovy Script, Git, TFS, Open Shift and Docker.  The candidate will have familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (e.g. VMware, Kubernetes, IBM Cloud) and CI tools to help development teams produce pipeline that improve software quality.  The development stack will include Java + Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, Oracle, Couchbase, etc.

SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER SPECIALIST (10F)

*Maintain Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering web environment and associated web applications; Work with operational groups to maintain web applications; Responsible for designing and building web applications of medium and high complexity to fulfill user requirements; Provide support and maintenance for current applications to ensure use of resources and to resolve application issues.

*Responds to complex intranet development requests; Develops and tests software applications of medium to high complexity; Performs analysis, design, deployment and training for complex applications; Provides support for web and SharePoint applications.
