Job Description:
Job Summary:   The purpose of this position is to enhance the growth of revenues through the development of our customer base.  The host position creates and maintains relationships with valued gaming guests and markets our product to our VIP guests.

Qualifications:  A four-year college degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field is required.   Previous experience as an account representative, sales or related guest service experience is required.  Must be fluent and literate in English, as well as fluent in the Chinese languages.  Excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and problem solving skills are required.  Outstanding organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  It is required that the candidate possesses proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.   Must have a professional appearance, a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude and be a team player.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet guests in the casino and participate in social events and special promotions.
• Maintains personal, direct mail and phone contact with Asian VIPs to build loyalty increase worth and frequency, as well as fill events.
• Maintain player accounts with special attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Provide resolution for guest concerns and disputes.
• Make prudent decisions, within department guidelines, regarding comping.
• Handle hotel, dinner, event reservations for players in an appropriate and professional manner.
• Apply effective verbal, written, telemarketing and communication skills when dealing with new and assigned players.
• Maintain adequate player database system journals.
• Excellent phone etiquette is necessary.
• Attend host staff meetings.
• All other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, when handling guest and employee conflicts.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
• Responds to visual and aural cues.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.

   

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
