Strategic Director of New Business Development: WTVQ-TV ABC 36 Lexington, KY is looking for a Strategic Director of New Business Development for it broadcast television and digital platforms. Ideal candidate should have a proven track record of growing Local Direct Sales revenue. Candidate must possess strong people skills, an unmatched work ethic, ability to recruit, train, lead and motivate an outstanding sales team. A minimum of three years broadcast television or cable television management experience preferred as well as an in-depth knowledge of OSi Traffic Systems, Wide Orbit Media Sales, KANTAR, and Electronic media, including social media management, Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram, You Tube and more. The Strategic Director of New Business Revenue will be responsible for managing the Local Sales Team and growing Local Direct, Local Direct New Business and Local Digital revenues for WTVQ-TV ABC 36, My KY Television, wtvq.com and WTVQ Mobile. Marketing Producer/Editor: WTVQ-TV (ABC), Lexington, KY has an immediate opening for a marketing producer/editor. This position will include writing and editing daily topicals, editing episodics and show content, assisting in marketing shoots and campaigns, as well as various other duties. Applicant must have creative non-linear video editing and videography skills, must be creative, willing to work flexible hours including weekends and be a team player. Applicant must have an understanding for basic branding and marketing strategies. Experience with Adobe Creative suite – including Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects is a plus. Experience with HD video cameras, tripods, wireless microphones, and portable lighting is also a plus. A valid driver’s license and clean driving history is a must. Morning News Anchor: WTVQ Lexington is in search of a Morning News Anchor to join our team. Candidate would join an established morning team on Good Morning Kentucky and Good Day Kentucky. This is a position that requires morning energy! If morning news and entertainment is what you live for, this job is for you! All applicants must have a minimum of one-year of employment at a broadcast television or cable station is required. Candidate must have good writing skills and be able to do guest interviews both in studio and live from remote locations. Prior knowledge of ENPS newsroom operating system is a bonus! Production Tech: Responsible for operation of studio cameras for the newscasts and various shows and promotion production. Additional Responsibilities include set lighting, teleprompter operation, tape machine operation for promos and commercials, and cross-training in Chyron and the audio board. This person must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to climb ladders, build, paint, and erect television production sets. Morning Meteorologist: WTVQ seeks an energetic Meteorologist to join our “Certified Most Accurate” Weather Team as morning meteorologist. Candidate must be able to provide accurate forecasts using WSI Max Storm technology, work well under pressure, and meet daily deadlines. Additional duties include producing an hour-long mid-morning news / entertainment program in which you would be a live co-host, interview guests, and present weather! One year of prior experience as a broadcast meteorologist / news producer required. Prior knowledge of AP`s ENPS newsroom operating system is a bonus!
