Campbellsville native to hold senior art exhibit at Campbellsville University

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.— Jimmy Campbell, a 2004 graduate of Campbellsville High School, will hold an art exhibit at Campbellsville University April 4 through April 8 at the university’s Art Gallery, located at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville.

A closing art reception will be held Friday, April 8 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Art Gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

Campbell, a senior at Campbellsville University, will have several types of media in the exhibit including drawings, sculpture, ceramics, paintings and digital graphics.

Campbell said, “My work features illustrations and ideas from animation.”

One of his works, “Rabbits in a Carrot Field,” is based on illustrations from the childhood story Peter Rabbit, while another piece is inspired by his grandfather’s fishing pond.

Campbell has exhibited in the last three annual juried art shows at CU.

He is the son of Jim and Vicky Campbell of Campbellsville.
