CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Juliana Moura, assistant professor of voice at Campbellsville University, will present a faculty recital on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall in the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville. The program is free and open to the public.

Moura, a soprano, graduated from the Seminary South Brazil in 2001. She holds a Master of Arts in Music from Campbellsville University in 2008 and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Louisville in 2010.

She is pursuing her doctorate degree at the University of Kentucky.

She has appeared in numerous operas and was in the Young Artist Apprentice Program with the Kentucky Opera. Moura was a finalist in the International Czech Competition in 2009.

In 2008 Moura was a participant in the Young Artist Program of the Kentucky Opera and won both the Master Performance Award from Campbellsville University and the Gail Robinson Award from the University of Kentucky.

She is married to Saulo Moura DeAlmeida; they have two daughters, Anna Clara Moura and Ana Beatriz Moura. She is the daughter of Odilon and Regina Miranda of Brazil.
