CU Christmas Tapestry is Dec. 2 in Ransdell Chapel

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University’s annual School of Music’s Christmas Tapestry concert will be Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Organizers of the event, Dr. David Hedrick, assistant professor of music, and Dr. Reese Land, associate professor of music/trumpet, have several groups and ensembles participating in the program.

Groups include: the CU Orchestra with Dr. Robert Gaddis, dean of the School of Music, as conductor; the University Chorale, New Doxology and Chamber Choir with Dr. Tony Cunha, associate professor of music and associate dean;

Several small ensembles including Wind Quintet and Brass Quintet with Dr. Scott Bersaglia, assistant director of bands/assistant professor of music; Flute Ensemble with Denis Santos, adjunct instructor in music;

“Quarteto Gracioso” with Dr. Lisa McArthur, professor of music; the Clarinet Choir with Marilyn Nije, adjunct instructor in music; the Campbellsville Singers with Matt Hodge, instructor in music and fine arts recruiter;

The Brass Ensemble with Land; the Jazz Combo and the newly organized CU String Academy with Saulo De Almedia, adjunct instructor in music; and the Steel Band with Dr. Chad Floyd, assistant professor of music.

There will be carols for audience participation accompanied on the chapel organ by Dr. Wesley Roberts, professor of music, organist, and Land, trumpet.

Performance selections will include both sacred and secular Christmas music, novelty numbers and the CU orchestra performing three selections.

The concert is free and open to the public.
