CAMPBELLSVILLE,
Ky. – The Rev. Bill Langley, senior pastor of Severns Valley Baptist
Church, will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel service at 10
a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave.,
Campbellsville, Ky.

The public is invited to the chapel service.

Langley has also pastored three churches: First Baptist Church of
Meridian, Okla.; First Baptist Church of Mustang, Okla.; and Harvest
Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, Texas.

He was born in Somerset in 1959, and two years later, his family
moved to Elizabethtown, where his late father, Dr. Leslie Langley,
opened a private practice in pediatrics.

At this point, the family moved their membership and became actively involved in Severns Valley Baptist Church.

Langley received Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of
eight in the office of his pastor, Dr. Verlin C. Kruschwitz. As a
20-year-old student, at the University of Kentucky, he accepted God’s
call upon his life into full-time ministry and following graduation
moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, to pursue his master of divinity degree from
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  It was at Southwestern that
he met, fell in love with and married Sheri Riley.

Upon graduation from Southwestern, Langley and his wife accepted the call of God to the pastorate.

They have two children: Lance and Rachel.  Lance graduated this past
May from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), and Rachel
just began her sophomore year as a Communications major. She also
attends SWOSU.

Langley is the son of Lou Langley.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship
and exposure through of a variety of informative speakers and
