CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF EDUCATION GIVES
CHRISTMAS GIFT TO TAYLOR COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University presented the students at Taylor County Middle School a Christmas gift of school supplies Dec. 17 from the School of Education.
Dr. Brenda Priddy, dean of the School of Education, said, in the spirit of Christmas, faculty and staff members of the School of Education annually donate a Christmas box to an area school in lieu of exchanging their own Christmas gifts.
She said this tradition began years ago with a suggestion by the late Dr. Bill Bennett, a CU faculty member.
“This idea comes from our hearts, and we have carried on this tradition year after year,” Priddy said. She said the faculty and staff choose a different school each year.
Priddy and staff members Sarah Jeffrey, Alice Steele and Gwen Sampson made the presentation to Cherry Harvey, principal, and Tony Jewell, assistant principal at Taylor County Middle School. They were treated to a Christmas meal at the school.
