CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HAITI RELIEF

CAMPBELLSVILLE , Ky. — Campbellsville University student-athletes have decided to make their own contribution to the Haiti relief effort this week. Members of the “Crazy Love” student-athlete-based study group will be raising money and peanut butter to aid in support for those in need after last week’s earthquake that left 70,000 dead.

Donation spots will be set up across the CU campus this week and next, with large focus on the Jan. 23 home women’s basketball game against the University of Rio Grande.

During Crazy Love’s Hoops for Haiti event Saturday, a collection will be taken during the game and also outside the concession stand. Anyone who brings a jar of peanut butter to the game will receive $2 off the price of admission.

All money raised will be donated through the Baptist Global Response’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.

Those who make a donation at the women’s basketball game Saturday will have their name put into a drawing to compete in a shootout during halftime of the women’s game Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m. and will be followed by a men’s game at 4 p.m.

Crazy Love is an on-campus book and Bible study started during the fall semester by student-athletes for student-athletes. The group is currently studying the book “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan.

If you would like to make a donation but are unable to attend the game, please send a check made out to Campbellsville University Athletics to the below address:
