Campbellsville University’s Division of Humanities offers degree programs in English, mass communication, film, --(only speech classes, not degrees)-- theater, and modern foreign languages. Across the liberal arts, we aim to prepare students for academic and vocational pursuits, while grounding them with Christian values.
Currently, there are four Humanities departments:
English: Campbellsville University offers an area, a major, and minor in English, as well as certification for students who aspire to teach English in grades 8-12.
Mass Communication: Majors and minors are available in Broadcasting and Digital Media, Journalism, Public Relations, and Film. Students may also enroll in a Photojournalism minor.
Modern Foreign Languages: The department offers a major and minor in Spanish and French, as well as cultural courses, including a class in Chinese culture.
Theater: Students may major in Theater with an emphasis in Production or Performance. The university also offers a minor in Theater.
