Get ready to see your favorite academic leaders go head-to-head in hilarious challenges, all for a great cause! The Battle of the Deans is part of CU’s Homecoming and Give Day festivities, bringing students, alumni, and faculty together to support their schools and have some fun along the way.
Event Timeline:
Tent Festival Kickoff on October 4th, 2025
- Stop by the Homecoming Tent Festival to cast your vote (aka, donation!) for your favorite Dean.
- Each Dean will have a donation bucket at their tent to drop in a gift, giving them an early lead!
- The top 3 leaders will be announced during the football game.
Battle of the Deans on October 14 @ 5:30 PM
- Stop by Stapp Lawn to see Deans compete in a series of wild and wacky games.
- After each round, the last Dean to finish is eliminated until only two remain!
- Hosted live with play-by-play commentary and some surprise “referees” to keep it fair and fun.
- Free admission | Food trucks available | Bring your friends and cheer on your Dean!
What’s at Stake?
All of this leads up to Give Day on October 23, CU’s official giving event.
- The Battle of the Deans winner will be awarded 50 bonus gifts toward their Give Day total.
- The Dean (and school) with the most gifts by the end of Give Day wins!
- A portion of the funds raised will go directly to the winning academic program.
