How Does the CU Bluegrass Guarantee Cover Tuition?

The CU Bluegrass Guarantee Scholarship uses a last-dollar funding approach to help eligible students receive up to 100% tuition coverage.

This means available federal and state grants, institutional scholarships, performance grants (such as athletic, theater, art, music, and band scholarships), and other awarded financial aid are applied toward tuition first. The CU Bluegrass Guarantee then helps cover any remaining eligible tuition costs, up to 100%.

What's Not Covered?

While the scholarship helps eliminate tuition expenses for qualifying students, it does not cover room and board, textbooks, or additional fees. Students should plan for these expenses when preparing their college budgets.
