Campbellsville University’s Homecoming celebration is a cherished tradition, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the rich history and community spirit of our university. Over the years, Homecoming has been a time to reconnect, reminisce, and create new memories, with activities ranging from spirited games to alumni gatherings. CU celebrates ‘Maroon Rhapsody’ Homecoming
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University welcomed alumni, students, and friends back to campus for Maroon Rhapsody Homecoming 2025. Highlights included the Homecoming Parade, a thrilling 49‑34 Tiger football win over the University of the Cumberlands, and the crowning of senior Reagan Hash as Homecoming Queen and Tomias Rushin as the first-ever Homecoming King. Alumni from decades past, like Martha Stein, Jody Pickens, and Frankie Elliott, returned to reconnect and be honored in the Golden Heritage Club, bridging generations of Tigers with school spirit and memories.

2024 - Alumni Visit Campus to Celebrate CU Homecoming
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Had it not been for a determined teacher, a helpful admissions director and plenty of financial support, Linda Gaby wouldn’t have found her way to what was then Campbellsville College.
As she prepared to graduate high school, Gaby, a Western Kentucky native, had written off going to college, thinking her family couldn’t afford to put her through school.
“One of my teachers came and got me out of class one day and said, ‘What do you mean you’re not going to college?” Linda recalled. “And I said, ‘You know we can’t afford it,’ and he said, ‘We’re going to talk to the counselor and we’re going to find a way.’”

2023 - Another Reason to Roar: Seeing All the Tigers Together at Campbellsville University’s Homecoming 2023
So much has changed about Campbellsville University since Sharon Hedrick attended as a student 50 years ago.
Numerous new facilities, such as Ransdell Chapel, the School of Nursing and the new press box at Finley Stadium, dot the campus Hedrick once walked as a student.
Even the name of her alma mater has changed, with Campbellsville College becoming Campbellsville University in 1996.
And, the Badgett Academic Support Center (BASC) Banquet Hall, where Hedrick was inducted into the Golden Heritage Club, once served as the school's cafeteria.

2022 - Campbellsville University Celebrates a Homecoming of Milestones
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Homecoming 2022 at Campbellsville University celebrated milestones for the Tiger Marching Band, Fighting Tiger Football Team and the Homecoming Car Show.
Fighting Tiger Football, which debuted in 1987, celebrated its 35th anniversary. The Tiger Marching Band, which took the field in 1992, celebrated its 30thanniversary, and the Homecoming Car Show, which made its first appearance in 1992, also celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Maroon Medley was this year's Homecoming theme.
“Seeing everyone's smiling faces and enjoying all the festivities makes all the preparation and planning worth it,” Ashley Fox, director of alumni relations, said.

2021 - Campbellsville University Homecoming 2021 is Success in Many Areas
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Homecoming 2021 was full of winning for Campbellsville University across the board.
The Fighting Tiger Football team defeated the University of Pikeville 31-28 in the Homecoming game Oct. 9 for their first win of the season and their first Homecoming win since 2015 when the Tigers defeated the University of Pikeville 42-34.
In addition to the Tigers' win, there were also winners for Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Young Alumni, Homecoming Queen, Homecoming floats in the parade, the Classes of 1970 and 1971, Ashley Fox, the 25thanniversary of the Carver School of Social Work, the Mass Communication Center, a Virtual Trivia game and a scholarship fund start for the late artist Tommy Clark.

2020 - Campbellsville University Celebrates First Virtual Homecoming with LawrenceburgSstudent Sammy Rogers Crowned Queen
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Although there weren't thousands of people on Campbellsville
University's campus for her 2020 Homecoming, the university's first virtual one was
a success, according to Ashley Fox, director of alumni relations.
“Even though we couldn't gather on campus for this year's Homecoming, I could still
feel the connection to the CU family through our virtual events,” she said.
Videos and contests were the “norm” for the “Play Paws Rewind” virtual Homecoming
with posts from the university appearing in feeds and being seen over 75,000 times.
2019 - Friends and Family of the Past and Present ‘Return Home and Reconnect' at Campbellsville University's 2019 Homecoming Day
Homecoming 2019 was held on Oct. 17-19 where Savannah Gregory was crowned Homecoming Queen; Hilda Legg, and Fred and Martha Stein were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; Phillip Hert and Jana Harston Hert were named Honorary Alumni; the Class of 1969 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against the University of Pikeville; the Homecoming parade float winner was International Student Association where Legg served as the grand marshal; a ribbon cutting took place for the new fieldhouse; and the University Theater performed "She Loves Me."
2018 - Campbellsville University Crowns Kendra Polston as 2018 Homecoming Queen
Homecoming 2018 was held on Oct. 5-6 where Kendra Polston was crowned Homecoming Queen; Dr. Paul and Shirley Lawson were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; the Class of 1968 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against Bethel University; the Homecoming parade float winner was Residence Life; and military veterans, including CU Board of Trustees Member Dr. E. Bruce Heilman, were honored at a ceremony and were grand marshals during the parade.
2017 - Homecoming Chooses Rachel Mobley as Queen; Loses Football Game in Double Overtime to Georgetown 31-24
Homecoming 2017 was held on Oct. 27-28 where Rachel Mobley was crowned Homecoming Queen; Debby and Dave Duda and B.J. Senior were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award, and Senior's wife, Vicki, was named an Honorary Alumna; the Class of 1967 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1957 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers faced off against Georgetown College in double overtime; the Homecoming parade float winner was the School of Education; and the Car Cruise celebrated its 25th anniversary.
2016 - CU Holds ‘Best of the Bluegrass' Homecoming; Lindy Forbes is Distinguished Alumna; Jesslyn McCandless is Homecoming Queen
Homecoming 2016 was held on Oct. 14-15 where Jesslyn McCandless was crowned Homecoming Queen; Lindy Forbes was awarded the Distinguished Alumna Award and her mother, Betty, was named an Honorary Alumna; the Class of 1966 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1956 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers faced off against Bethel University; the Homecoming parade float winner was the International Student Association; the Tiger Marching Band held it's 25th anniversary and was directed by Dr. David McCullough, the first band director; the Exie Boys performed on campus; and Bluegrass musician Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder held a concert to kick off Homecoming festivities.

Homecoming 2015 was held on on Oct. 9-10 where Mhairi Fyfe was crowned Homecoming Queen; Mary Kathryn Colvin McKinley and B. Wade were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; the Class of 1965 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1955 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers defeated the University of Pikeville; the Homecoming parade float winner was the International Student Association; the Exie Boys performed on campus and Christian rock band, Sons of Thunder, performed on Stapp Lawn.
2014 - CU Tigers Defeat Georgetown 28-24; Katlin Weeks is Homecoming Queen
Homecoming 2014 was held on Oct. 10-11 where Katlin Weeks was crowned Homecoming Queen; Randy Herron and Reid Brown were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award and Brown's wife, Annette, was named an Honorary Alumna; the Class of 1964 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1954 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers defeated Georgetown College; and the Homecoming parade float winner was the International Student Association.
2013 - Campbellsville Celebrates ‘There's NO Place Like Homecoming!'
Homecoming 2013 was held on Oct. 4-5 where Mary Kate Young Rodgers was crowned Homecoming Queen; Ronnie Hord and Pat Save Webster were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; the Class of 1963 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1953 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers defeated Kentucky Christian University; the Homecoming parade float winner was Residence Life; the Exie Boys performed on campus; and Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Winters, president and first lady of CU from 1988 to 1999, attended the Student Government Association breakfast reunion, and Winters performed the coin toss to start the football game.
2012 - CU Announces Emily Shultz as 2012 Homecoming Queen
Homecoming 2012 was held on Oct. 12-13 where Emily Shultz was crowned Homecoming Queen; Ron and Mary Lou Rafferty were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; the Class of 1962 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1952 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers defeated Lindsey Wilson College where the football program celebrated its 25th anniversary; the Homecoming parade float winner was the social work club, SWITCH; the Tiger Marching Band held it's 20th anniversary; and the Car Show held it's 20th anniversary.
2011 - Tigers' Homecoming Rally Falls Short, 20 - 13
Homecoming 2011 was held on Oct. 14-15 where Katie Kelien was crowned Homecoming Queen; Henry and Sharon Lee were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award and Leo and Laura Weddle were named Honorary Alumni; the Class of 1961 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1951 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers faced off against the University of the Cumberlands; the Homecoming parade float winner was the School of Nursing; and a 10-year reunion was held for the 2001 football team.
2010 - Campbellsville University Homecoming '10 is ‘Eye of the Tiger'
Homecoming 2010 was held on Oct. 22-23 where Faith Manion was crowned Homecoming Queen; Bill Chandler was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award; Chandler's wife, Jill, and CU Board of Trustees member Dr. Johnnie Clark, were named Honorary Alumni; the Class of 1960, the first four-year graduating class, were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club and the Class of 1950 held a reunion; the Fighting Tigers defeated Faulkner University; and the Homecoming parade float winner was Baptist Campus Ministry.
2009 - CU 2009 Homecoming Queen Candidates
Homecoming 2009 was held on Oct. 10-11 where Maria Gomez was crowned Homecoming Queen; Dr. Joe Owens, CU Board of Trustees member, and his wife, Elizabeth, were awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award; the Class of 1959 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against the University of Virginia; the Homecoming parade float winner was Sigma Zeta; and The Girondees, a band first formed at CU, performed for the first time in 41 years with all band members.
2008 - CU Announces 2008 Homecoming Queen Candidates
Homecoming 2008 was held on Oct. 3-4 where Cheris Evans was crowned Homecoming Queen; Rev. Jim McKinley was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award; the Class of 1958 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against Shorter College; the Homecoming parade float winner was the School of Music; and magician David Garrard held a magic show during the Homecoming Banquet.
2007 - Campbellsville University Celebrates New Century for Homecoming
Homecoming 2007 was held on Oct. 5-6 where Shajuana Ditto was crowned Homecoming Queen; the Class of 1957 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against the University of Virginia; the Homecoming parade winner was KEA-SP; and Michael Kelley, a Christian vocal impressionist, was the guest speaker at the Homecoming Banquet.
2006 - Campbellsville University Centennial Homecoming a Success
Homecoming 2006 was held on Oct. 6-7 where Claryssa Tomaz was crowned Homecoming Queen; Scotty Lane Coconougher Clenney was awarded the Distinguished Alumna Award; the Class of 1956 were inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers faced off against the University of the Cumberlands; and the Homecoming parade float winner was Sigma Zeta.

Homecoming 2005 was held on Oct. 21-22 where Vanessa Cross was crowned Homecoming Queen; the Class of 1955 was inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers defeated Cumberland University; and a “100 Years of Sports” event was held.

Homecoming 2000 was held on Oct. 13-14 where Leanne Quinlan was crowned Homecoming Queen; the Class of 1950 was inducted into the Golden Heritage Club; the Fighting Tigers defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College; and the Homecoming parade returned from hiatus.
