Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Reporting

Campbellsville University has received funding through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to support students and institutional operations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds were made available through federal legislation, including the CARES Act, CRRSAA, and the American Rescue Plan (ARP).

Below is an overview of how funds were allocated and distributed.

 

CARES Act (HEERF I)

Total Funds Awarded: $3,363,843

  • Student Portion: $1,600,734
  • Institutional Portion: $1,600,734
  • Strengthening Institutions Portion: $162,375

Degree-seeking students enrolled on March 16, 2020, who met the following criteria received a $500 block grant:

  • Title IV eligible under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act
  • Filed a 2019–2020 FAFSA with no flags
  • Not enrolled in a fully online program

Students were notified via university email, with instructions for direct deposit or check delivery. Additional aid could be requested through the Student Emergency Aid Request Form for expenses related to food, housing, technology, healthcare, childcare, etc.

  • Eligibility: Enrolled on January 19, 2021, and not withdrawn by February 8, 2021; FAFSA filed by January 19, 2021

Eligible undergraduate and certificate program students were awarded during the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2021 terms. FAFSA data was used to determine Pell status and need. Fully online and non-U.S. undergraduate students were included.
