CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Ellen Di Giosia is one of few Baptist women serving in pastoral roles in the United States as senior pastor of Jefferson City First Baptist Church (FBC) in Tennessee.

Di Giosia will speak on two occasions Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center (BASC) at 110 University Drive, Campbellsville, for the Campbellsville University Egalitarian Lecture Series (formerly Christians for Biblical Equality) and at chapel Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Di Giosia is a graduate of Mississippi College and George W. Truett Theological Seminary.  In 2017, she was called to pastor First Baptist Church following nine years of service at Woodland Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, where she was an associate pastor of faith formations. She has also served churches in Valley Mills and San Marcos, Texas.

She was the founding board chair of Texas Baptist Women in Ministry and has been a worship leader, panelist and workshop speaker for Baptist Women in Ministry gatherings at the national level.  In 2017, she shared an Associate Church Press Award of Excellence for her writing in the Baptist Standard.

Ellen is married to Tony Di Giosia and has two children, Gemma and Luca. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting and singing.
