Campbellsville University’s Student Emergency Restricted Fund is made possible by generous donors to provide timely financial support for currently enrolled students facing unforeseen expenses not covered by financial aid. Whether it’s emergency travel due to a family crisis, unexpected medical bills, or urgent housing needs after a disaster, this fund is designed to help. While it doesn’t cover tuition, fees, or room and board, it offers one-time relief for critical situations.

This fund supports urgent, unexpected expenses that directly affect a student’s ability to remain safe, stable, and enrolled at Campbellsville University. Examples include:

  • Emergency travel due to a family crisis
  • Temporary housing after a natural disaster or displacement
  • Unexpected medical or dental costs (within reasonable limits)
  • Essential personal items lost due to fire or disaster
  • Other critical needs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis

The Student Emergency Restricted Fund cannot be used for educational costs such as:

  • Tuition
  • Course fees
  • Books or class materials
  • Room and board

Educational needs should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid.

To qualify for emergency assistance, students must:

  • Be currently enrolled at Campbellsville University
  • Demonstrate an immediate financial need
  • Have no other resources available to cover the expense
  • Provide documentation if requested (e.g., invoices, receipts, proof of loss)

Students may apply online by completing the Emergency Fund Application. Once submitted, applications are reviewed promptly by the Student Services team. Additional information may be requested to verify the situation. Applicants will be notified of a decision as quickly as possible.

Applications are typically reviewed within 1–3 business days. Timelines may vary during high-volume periods or when additional documentation is required. Funding is limited and awarded based on availability and urgency.

All applications and related documents are reviewed confidentially. Information is shared only with CU staff involved in the evaluation and support process.
