CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University has named Alex Wuest as vice president for enrollment management, effective July 2026. Wuest brings more than 12 years of experience serving students and families through Christian higher education.
Wuest will oversee the enrollment divisions at Campbellsville University, including on-campus, regional, dual-credit, certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate recruitment. He will also lead prospect data management and cross-divisional retention efforts as part of the university's Senior Leadership team.
“Alex Wuest is that needle in a haystack you are hoping to find when you start a national search such as this. He brings tremendous energy, creativity, and ingenuity along with his years of leadership in a successful vice presidency. More than this, he has the character and team spirit that will match the great team he joins at CU. The future is bright,” says CU President Joseph Hopkins.
Wuest's higher education career includes roles in admissions, athletic recruiting and enrollment leadership at several small private colleges. Most recently as vice president of enrollment management at Central Christian College of Kansas, which included leading admissions, marketing, financial aid and enrollment strategy.
During his time at Central, the college recorded its largest incoming classes in institutional history in consecutive years.
He also served at a Christian international school in Tianjin, China, an experience he credits with shaping his perspective on faith, culture, relationships and the global impact of Christian education. That work deepened his appreciation for building meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds and reinforced his belief that education can be both transformational and ministry-centered.
A graduate of a small Christian college, Wuest said he is passionate about creating environments where students feel known, valued and supported. His approach to leadership centers on relationship-building, collaboration and servant leadership, values core to Campbellsville University’s mission.
“I believe Christian higher education has the unique opportunity to shape both the minds and hearts of students,” Wuest said, “From the moment I stepped onto campus at Campbellsville, I experienced a community that was genuinely welcoming, mission-driven, and unreasonably hospitable. That feeling stayed with me long after I left campus, and I’m excited for my family and me to become a part of that community.”
Wuest holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Management from McPherson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Tabor College. Wuest enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and their three amazing children. Their family is excited to become part of the Campbellsville community and invest in the mission and future of the university.
