CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University has officially partnered with Langford Education to create business degree pathways offered entirely in Portuguese. At the beginning of the 2026 school year, CU has now enrolled more than 100 students in the new programs.

Peter Thomas, Assistant Vice President, Global Services Senior International Officer, said, “The Langford Education collaboration offers an innovative way to provide students with a high-quality education in their native language, Portuguese. This cross-cultural partnership embodies the true spirit of international education, creating opportunities to meet students where they are. It is an excellent example of international education at its best.”

The Langford Education partnership is an innovative, cross-cultural collaboration designed to provide students with a high-quality education in their native Portuguese. Langford Education presented the concept to Campbellsville University in March, and by May, the university had begun accepting students into three programs: English as a Second Language, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration.

Monica Hardin, Associate Provost and Administrative Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, said, “Campbellsville University's partnership with Langford Education showcases the innovative agility of CU. With Langford's network and CU's quality programs, we are poised to meet industry needs in a new and creative way.”

As the partnership enters its inaugural semester, plans are underway to expand course delivery into Spanish, introduce additional disciplines offered by Campbellsville University, and broaden delivery throughout Brazil. By meeting students where they are—linguistically, culturally, and geographically—the partnership reflects the true spirit of international education.

Makely Ponso, VP of Strategy, Langford Education, shared, "Campbellsville University welcomed us as partners from day one, and that trust is what allows Brazilians to study in Portuguese at an American university. In Campbellsville, we found an institution that combines academic quality with a commitment to education and to Christian values, and that is exactly what we were looking for on behalf of our students.”

Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university that offers over 100 programs, including doctoral, master's, bachelor's, associate and certificate programs. For complete information, please visit www.campbellsville.edu.
