What Do I Need to File My Tax Return?
- Passport or another government-issued photo ID
- Form 8843
- US entry and exit dates for current and all past visits to the US (form I-94)
- All tax forms, including W-2, 1042-S and/or 1099 – if you received them

The tax filing process can be very complicated and if completed incorrectly may result in overpaying or fines due to underpaying. You may want to consider using a tax filing service. We do not endorse any specific tax service.
