Summer Storage
The Center for Global Engagement offers storage spaces to CU international students who will not be staying in Taylor County over the summer. For the cost of $100, each student will receive a 3ft by 5ft (.9m by 1.5m) area to store their items in. A contract must be signed, and payment made to secure a storage space and moving time. CGE will have scheduled drop-off and pick-up dates available during finals week.

- As a last resort CGE can take cash or charge student accounts
- Book a moving day/time
- Students must sign a contract and pay before scheduling to move

- Moving dates are the week of finals
- Moving items into storage
- Storage space is located on campus
- CGE offers transportation from dorms to storage space if needed
- Students must be packed and ready to move their items at their scheduled day/time
- We encourage students to enlist friends to help them move
- Picking items up from storage
- Pick up dates are the week before and frist week of class
- Scheduling goes through the CGE microsoft bookings page
- Students meet CGE staff at the storage space at designated time
- CGE offers transportation from storage to dorms if needed
- Items must be clean, dry, and packed in a container that is labeled with the student's name and CU ID Number.
- Students are responsible for ensuring that their items are packed securely and protected.
- Loose items are not allowed, except for refrigerators, microwaves, storage drawers, televisions, and furniture.
- Do not store: Food, liquids (such as detergent, shampoo, body wash, drinks, paint, etc.), living things (plants, etc.)
- Refrigerators must be defrosted and dry before they are brought to storage.
- CGE has the right to refuse to store items not allowed or improperly packed.
- Students may share a space with other students, this is ideal if all of the space is not needed and/or they would like to split the cost.
- All students sharing a space must sign the contract and schedule a moving day/time
- CGE suggests no more than 4 people to a space
- Use plastic bins over boxes; they will keep items safer and can be reused.
- Purchase boxes and packing tape at Walmart or Lowes.
- Do not pack necessities that will be needed before storage pick up, as immediate pick up may not be possible.
- CGE encourages students to not place especially expensive or valuable items in storage.
- Do not pack boxes heavier or larger than you can carry, fill extra space with paper, soft items or packing peanuts.
- Items will be stacked, keep heavy items on the bottom to bear the weight.
- A contract must be signed and payment made to reserve a storage space.
- Students are responsible for being packed, on time, and moving their own items in and out of storage.
- CGE has the authority to refuse this service to any student who refuses to abide by the rules, fails to pay, or is disrespectful.
- Campbellsville University will not assume responsibility for missing, broken or damaged items or items left outside of storage.
- If student's items have not picked up a month after the last scheduled moving date and they do not contact CGE, their items will be considered abandoned and will be discarded. Students that are unable to remove their items may designate someone by email to get them. If a designated person is not available, the student can contact CGE to make alternative arrangements. If as a last resort CGE needs to move their things, they will be charged an additional fee of $50. In an emergency, students may be approved for continued storage by CGE; additional costs are determined upon approval.
