Program Overview

The Barbering program at Campbellsville University provides 1,500 clock hours of comprehensive training designed to prepare students for licensure and successful careers in the barbering industry. Students develop essential skills in hair cutting, styling, shaving, grooming, and client care through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience.

In addition to technical barbering skills, the curriculum explores salon management, business ownership, and industry best practices. Students gain knowledge in areas such as anatomy and physiology, chemistry, bacteriology, pharmacology, electricity, hygiene, and psychology, helping them understand both the science and customer service aspects of the profession.

Graduates leave the program prepared to pursue barber licensure and enter the workforce with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in a variety of barbering and grooming careers.
