Program Overview
The School of Barbering at Campbellsville University provides students with 1,500
clock hours of comprehensive training, preparing them for a successful career in the
barbering industry. Our curriculum covers a wide range of essential skills, including
hair cutting, styling, shaving, and client care, while also emphasizing key areas
of study such as salon management, ownership, and the science behind barbering. Students
will gain a deep understanding of the industry through courses in chemistry, bacteriology,
pharmacology, electricity, hygiene, and the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
The program adds psychological principles to help students build strong client relationships

To be considered for the Barbering Program at Campbellsville University, applicants
must meet the following criteria:
High School Diploma or GED Applicants must have completed high school or possess a GED equivalent.
Minimum Age of 18 Applicants must be at least 18 years old to enroll in the program.
Once admitted, students will receive a course schedule and details regarding required
