Art Village
Campbellsville University’s Art Village is a dedicated campus area celebrating the
visual and performing arts. Visitors can explore rotating exhibits featuring ceramics,
sculptures, photography, paintings, and other artwork by local artists, CU students,
and alumni. Enjoy a peaceful stroll through Turner Log Cabin Park, and be sure to
visit the Chowning Art Shop for unique art pieces and supplies. The Gosser Fine Arts
Center, home to the Gheens Recital Hall, hosts music recitals and events as part of
the Central Kentucky Art Series, enriching the community’s cultural experience.

The Art Building is the academic building for Art & Design 2D studios, a lecture room,
and faculty offices. Often, students' artwork is on display in the lobby space within
the lounge area and student lockers.

Guest artists from around the world and CU art students host a variety of arts exhibits
during the school year. Exhibits can include ceramics and sculptures, photography,
paintings, and more. Hours range throughout the week as students run the gallery between classes.

A center of music and art classrooms, when walking through the halls, you will always
hear the sound of musical instruments. The Gheens Recital Hall resides on the side
of the center where music recitals, events, and more are hosted.

This log cabin is utilized by the Art & Design department in a variety of ways, including
additional exhibition space, a meeting place for plein air painters, and a studio
for the Art & Design Artist-in-Residence.

This park is an area for students to relax in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature
and beautiful scenery on campus. There is a gazebo, a stone walking path, and an area
that grows unique plant life in partnership with Clay Hill Memorial Forest. The cabin
is used as a meeting and reception area throughout the year.
