Train to teach, coach, and lead in school and wellness settings through hands-on, flexible programs.
Program Overview
Campbellsville University’s Health and Physical Education programs prepare students to promote wellness, physical activity, and lifelong health. Whether you're pursuing a general degree or seeking P-12 teacher certification, you’ll gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in educational, coaching, or wellness settings. With a focus on hands-on learning and servant leadership, graduates are ready to make a meaningful impact in schools and communities. All students who have gone through our Health and Physical Education with teaching certification go on to pass their PRAXIS exams.

“Coming into college, I did not plan on being a part of the Human Performance department, but I’m so glad I did! The professors in the department are the best of the best. They push you to be the best version of yourself in all areas to educate future generations. I am more prepared for the classroom one day because of them. I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and health and physical education allow me to bring what I’m passionate about to the classroom. Being active with students and seeing their faces light up when they achieve a goal/new skill brings so much joy!”
