Alex Meade is a native of Paintsville, Kentucky. He currently lives in Campbellsville with his wife, Amber, and two sons, JT and Timothy, and two dogs, Bo and Hank. Meade graduated Cum Laude with his bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville University with a double major in Mass Communication Area and Social Studies Area. He was awarded the broadcast award in his senior year for excellence in broadcast and digital media. Meade continued his education at Asbury University, where he earned his Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. Meade is currently working on his dissertation at Liberty University, researching educational social media and ADHD college students’ use. Meade previously worked as a production assistant and later as the Television Programming and Production Director for WLCU Studios and WLCU-TV. Prior to coming to CU, Meade started in the media field at an early age, doing solo radio broadcasts before the age of 10. He oversaw school news productions for two years prior to graduating high school, including organizing, producing, and editing a school-wide video, and freelance work starting in 2013. 

 

Meade has also coached multiple swim teams, including summer league, USA, and KHSAA. During his time coaching Marion County High School, Meade earned four KHSAA Region 3 Boys Coach of the Year (2020, 2021, 2023, 2025) and took the boys and girls teams to state for the first time in nearly two decades individually. Multiple swimmers from Meade’s time at MCHS went on to swim in college, including several who continued their careers at Campbellsville University.
