Preston Jones, Dr.

Preston Jones, D.B.A., serves the students, faculty, and administration of Campbellsville University as Professor of Management. He is committed to helping doctoral students achieve their academic and professional goals. As a Christian Servant Leader, Professor Jones’ values are aligned with the Values of CU. Dr. Jones is dedicated to achieving the CU Mission and Vision 2025. Before joining Campbellsville, Dr. Jones served as dean of the School of Business at Florida Memorial University and enjoyed a twenty-seven (27) year career at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) and the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. In his role as dean, he provided the leadership that helped the Huizenga College of Business achieve the academic and capital goals as part of NSU’s Vision 2020. Dr. Jones’ responsibilities include fostering excellence in research and teaching, strengthening the quality of the business school’s academic programs, promoting the school’s global visibility, continuing the advancement of innovation and entrepreneurship within the school, and ensuring that student pathways within their chosen degree fields prepare them to compete in a highly competitive global job market. Dean Jones is also charged with growing the school’s capital and financial resources through partnerships with alumni and leaders of the business community. Prior to being appointed dean, Jones served as the Huizenga Business School’s executive associate dean, associate dean for academic affairs, executive director of master’s programs, and assistant professor of management. Jones has also served as director of the M.B.A. programs, faculty coordinator for graduate programs, director of the center for entrepreneurship and a recruiter. Before entering higher education, he served in various engineering and management capacities at the Johnson & Johnson family of companies for more than 15 years. In service to our community Dr. Jones is a board member of Broward 2-1-1, Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, and Florida Bar UPL committee. Dr. Jones serves the Town of Davie, Florida as a member of the Finance Advisory Committee and Broward County as a member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. Dr. Jones is active member of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce where he served as a member of the Good to Great awards selection committee.  He is a proud member of the Zeta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Dean Jones earned his Doctor of Business Administration and M.B.A. degrees at NSU and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in Indiana. Preston lives with his wife Wendy and Yorkie Shuri in Davie, Florida. He is the proud father of Lamont, Allyssa, and Leslie and grandfather to Tamerra, Taryn, and Jonathan.
