Dr. Terry Wilder (University of Aberdeen, Ph.D.; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, MDiv.BL; Dallas Baptist University, B.A., M.A.) serves as Professor of New Testament and Greek and Chair of Graduate Studies in the School of Theology at Campbellsville University. An active churchman and pastor, he firmly believes that biblical scholarship should not be separated from local church ministry. He often contributes papers to theological conferences, preaches and teaches in churches, leads mission trips, and speaks on ethical issues. He has written many articles and authored, coauthored, or edited several books including In Defense of the Bible (B&H Academic, 2013), Perspectives on our Struggle with Sin: Three Views of Romans 7 (B&H Academic, 2011), Entrusted with the Gospel: Paul’s Theology in the Pastoral Epistles (B&H Academic, 2010), and Pseudonymity, the New Testament, and Deception (University Press of America, 2004). More recently, he finished and edited the late, renowned NT scholar Earle Ellis’s 1 Corinthians: A Commentary (T&T Clark, 2022) and edited and contributed to Awaiting Christ’s Return: Faith in the Interim (Hendrickson, 2027). He is currently working on several books, including a volume on pseudonymity, anonymity, and the New Testament, a monograph on Ephesians, a biblical theology on 1 & 2 Thessalonians, a commentary on 1, 2 Timothy, and Titus, and a Greek exegetical guide on 2 Peter and Jude. His wife Denise is an indispensable and encouraging partner with him in ministry. They have two sons, Ian and Aaron.
