Elisha Lawrence
Dr. Elisha Lawrence came to Campbellsville University in August of 2015 and worked with Residence Life, and taught OR and Success Skills courses. In 2016, she joined the School of Education. Prior to serving at the university, she taught full-time for around thirteen years throughout various school districts across Kentucky as she and her husband served in various church ministries along the way. She gained experience teaching individuals in both private and public schools and has taught ages birth to adult. 
 
Dr. Lawrence’s passions in teaching are Language Arts, ESL, and School Counseling. She teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate education programs available through CU’s School of Education and loves the opportunity she has to invest in future teachers. Dr. Lawrence’s research emphasis has been in preparing teachers for the future teaching of ESL students and in the teaching of Language Arts, as well as school counseling.  She has served as a judge for the State Educators Rising Conference multiple years and served as a facilitator for the KY Counseling Association Conference.  She is a member of the KDE Early Literacy Committee and was in the first cohort of participants in the KDE LETRS training. Dr. Lawrence continues to research, staying current in the fields in which she teaches as she prepares for future presentations and publications.

Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Eastern Kentucky University, Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA-TESOL) from Campbellsville University, Master of Arts in School Counseling from Western Kentucky University, Endorsements in ESL & Literacy from Eastern Kentucky University, Certification as an Education Program Consultant, Rank One in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University, and Standard Certification in School Counseling from Western Kentucky University,  Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University.

SOE Assessment Coordinator; SOE CAEP Standard 4 (Chair); SOE Undergraduate & Graduate Faculty Committees; Education Peer Group Co-Sponsor and co-sponsor of Aspiring Educators & Educators Rising Collegiate, Co-sponsor of Alpha Epsilon Omicron Kappa Delta Pi. In 2024 served as a member of the Faculty Fall Skills Workshop Series partnering with other faculty on integrating the CU QEP into course teachings. In 2025 served as a member of a CU Faculty Learning Community to collaborate with faculty from various content disciplines and prepare coursework redesign.
