Dr. Early is the professor of Church History, Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics at Campbellsville University. Dr. Early is the author of nine books, two manuals, and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. He recently completed his latest book, Because of Eve: Historical and Theological Survey of the Subjugation of Women in the Christian Tradition. Dr. Early is currently writing a biography for the University of Tennessee Press titled Elijah Craig: More Than Bourbon. He is a popular speaker at historical conferences around the country. He is active in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and has served on several reaffirmation teams. Dr. Early earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cumberland College (1992), a Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1997), and his Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2002). He is married to Dr. Tiffany Early, who teaches at Taylor County Middle School, and has two Maltese puppies named Freddie and Knox. He is a big fan of CU Lady Tigers basketball, Tennessee Vol football, and the Atlanta Braves.
