Kathy Edwards
Dr. Edwards is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Campbellsville University.  She teaches Accounting in the bachelors, masters, and PhD programs.  Her area of research focuses on accounting and financial performance in the manufacturing environment. Dr. Edwards has a PhD from Capella University and an M.B.A. from Campbellsville University.  She has worked 25 years as Accounting Manager and Controller in the lumber/millwork, automotive, bearing and food manufacturing industries before transitioning to academia.  While working in various manufacturing industries, her accomplishments include having extensive knowledge of how manufacturing organizations function and how to manage resources while possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  She has a proven track record of strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels. Dr. Edwards also has unique manufacturing plant start-up experience with the Kraft/Heinz Company and Ruiz Food Products, Inc. Dr. Edwards is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and works with the local chapter in South Carolina.  She is a Six Sigma Champion which represented upper-level management in the execution of the organizations Lean Six Sigma deployment plans in the automotive, bearing and food industries.
